I love reading. Books are my second home. Here is a list of books about yoga, parenting, child birth and travel which I particularly enjoyed (all recommendations are my personal opinion, no commercial motive). Enjoy and let me know what you think!
BIRTH

Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth by Ina May Gaskin. Drawing upon her thirty-plus years of experience, Ina May Gaskin, famous midwife in the US, shares the benefits and joys of natural childbirth by showing women how to trust in the ancient wisdom of their bodies for a healthy and fulfilling birthing experience.
PARENTING

Everyday Blessings: The Inner Work of Mindful Parenting by Mila and Johne Kabat-Zin. Mindfulness is a way of living and there is increasing scientific evidence of its value for better health and wellbeing. This book is about mindful parenting, an approach that embraces the emotional, intuitive and deeply personal experience of being a parent.
Knocked Up Abroad: Stories of pregnancy, birth, and raising a family in a foreign country by Lisa Ferland. This is the perfect book for people like me who love to travel and learn about how things are done in different cultural contexts. It tells the stories of 21 mothers and two dads who gave birth and raised their families abroad. The stories are at times hilarious, at times frustrating, but surely always valuable life experiences the authors wouldn’t want to miss.
Knocked Up Abroad Again: Baby bumps, twists and turns around the globe (Volume 2) by Lisa Ferland. I enjoyed reading the first book so much that I continued straight with the second anthology in the Knocked Up Abroad series – and I wasn’t disappointed. You can continue to follow Lisa’s own adventures in Sweden on her blog at www.knockedupabroad.com.
